Glass Balustrade Installation
Internal Frameless Glass balustrade installation
Our Frameless Glass Balustrade Systems are not only for external use. These systems can be used internally also. The system that we used on this project was a pure vista posiglaze aluminium track system with 17.5mm toughened and laminated glass.
Planning For Frameless Glass Balustrades
Greg made a site visit to the property where he took all required measurements and levels to make sure that if there were any alterations that had to be made before the frameless balustrade system could be installed. It was apparent that one of the levels were sloping on the smallest section of the glass so this piece had to be templated and cut using a CNC machine.
Delivery & Turnaround
Once the glass balustrade system has been ordered the glass making process can be as little as 5 working days up to 10 working days depending on glass type. Toughened and laminated glass takes around 10 days as the process is slightly more complicated. As soon as the glass arrives, we contact you to arrange delivery at a time and day of your choice.
Project Hurdles?
The only small hurdle was the difference in level change, which has been solved by shaping the small section of glass to account for this.
Project Brief
Client Needs
Jackie had contacted us and knew exactly what she wanted. The frameless glass balustrade system was going to be the centre piece to their open plan living dining area so it had to be minimalist not to obstruct any light. With only a small aluminium track and low iron 17.5mm toughened and laminated glass this was the perfect fit as you will see in the photos.

Client Feedback/ Review
Such a comprehensive service from start to finish. I have my ideas and Nathan saw to it that my plan came to fruition. Project ran to time and communication was such a help to keep it all on track. The fitting and finishing touches were so professional; they really care about their trade. Totally recommend you bypass any other glass company if bespoke glass projects are your dream…… you won’t be disappointed!
Installation Process
Stage 1
Greg first installed the posiglaze aluminium track system to the internal floors surrounding the stairs, with the slight slope on the return we had to mitre the corners to account for any level changes.
Stage 2
The track can now be set into place and fixed down using coach bolts, dowels are used to Aline and fix the corner sections so there is no movement while this is being done.
Stage 3Â
Greg now starts to install the 17.5mm toughened and laminated glass using the packers and clips provided for the posiglaze frameless system.
Stage 4
The cover strips and rubber gaskets are installed to the balustrade system to hide the mechanics of the system and give you the sleek clean finish.
Final stage
All the parts and glass is cleaned thoroughly and the final inspection is complete.
